Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Partly, the bill-splitting app with AI receipt scan. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to use the service lawfully and as described below.
Using Partly
Partly helps trusted groups share expenses. You may not use it for fraud, illegal payments, harassment, or to upload unlawful content.
Optional commercial emails
Optional commercial or product emails may be sent only with your prior explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time in the app Settings. Transactional messages required to operate your account are not marketing.
Accounts
You are responsible for your credentials. You may sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, email, or continue as a guest and upgrade later. Notify us at contact@partly-app.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your content
You keep ownership of expenses, receipts, and messages you add. You grant Partly the license needed to host, sync, and display them to your group members.
AI receipt scanning
Partly uses artificial intelligence (AI) and optical character recognition (OCR) to help extract items, prices and totals from receipt photos. These results are automated estimates: they are not guaranteed to be complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose. Photo quality, languages, currencies, damaged tickets, handwriting and unusual layouts can cause errors or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting and validating every scanned result before you share, settle or rely on it. By using scanning features, you acknowledge that AI output may be wrong. Inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected scan results do not entitle you to a refund, chargeback, credit, free Premium time, or any other compensation for a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Any refund of a paid subscription remains subject to Apple App Store and Google Play policies where applicable.
Premium
Premium is billed monthly or yearly via the App Store or Google Play. Cancel anytime in your store account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Billing and refunds for paid subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their store terms. Promotional or referral Premium (if any) is separate and described below.
Referral and promotional Premium
Partly may offer a referral or promotional program that grants limited free Premium access. Unless we state otherwise in the app when you invite or join: (a) the referrer receives about 3 days of promotional Premium when a valid referral is successfully applied, while the invited person receives no promotional Premium; (b) a referral code can generally be applied only within 3 days of the referred account’s signup; (c) additional milestone bonuses for referrers may apply as shown in the app; and (d) promotional Premium is capped and may be limited, revoked or changed to prevent abuse. Referral and other promotional Premium days are complimentary benefits, not a paid product. They do not create a right to cash refunds, store chargebacks, or equivalent paid subscription value if eligibility rules are not met, if the program changes, or if promotional access ends. We may modify or discontinue promotional offers at any time. Details shown in the app prevail over marketing summaries.
Liability
Partly is provided “as is”. We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect calculations, or error-free AI/OCR extraction. Always verify important amounts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Partly and its publisher are not liable for losses arising from reliance on unverified scan results, group balances, or payment links you choose to send.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the app at least 30 days before they take effect.
