Split bachelorette and bachelor party costs, the guest of honor goes free

Rental, activities, groceries, bar tabs: each bridesmaid or groomsman adds what they pay, the bride or groom pays nothing, and everyone sees who owes whom when the weekend is over.

Free with ads: 3 active groups, 5 AI scans and 5 payment links per month. Others join the group in the app, by link or QR code.

Illustrative example · made-up amountsEUR
Bachelorette party for 8, the bride pays nothing
Rental house, 2 nights
€840.00
Cocktail class (8 × €35)
€280.00
Groceries and drinks
€175.00
Weekend total
€1,295.00
Each person’s share
Each of the 7 guests
€185.00
Emma, the bride
€0.00

Emma isn’t in the group, so every expense is split equally between the 7 guests and her share is already covered.

Why bachelorette party money gets messy

  • One or two people put the house and the activity on their card, then chase everyone for weeks.
  • The guest of honor’s share has to be spread across everyone else, and the math changes as soon as someone only comes for a day.
  • Not everyone joins everything: someone skips the boat trip, someone doesn’t drink, someone arrives on Saturday.
  • Receipts get lost between the group chat, camera roll and notes app.

Sort out the party money in 4 steps

  1. 01

    Create an “Event” group

Add everyone’s first name. If it’s a surprise, don’t add the bride or groom: since they’re in no expense, their share is automatically spread across the others.

  2. 02

    Send the invite link

Share the link in your group chat or show the QR code. Everyone joins in the app and picks the name reserved for them.

  3. 03

Add each expense when it’s paid

Type the amount or take a photo of the receipt: the AI reads the lines and you check them. For each expense, keep only the people it applies to.

  4. 04

Wrap up the event and pay each other back

Partly shows who owes how much to whom. People pay back by bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Revolut… then record it in the group. Partly never moves the money.

What actually helps for a bachelorette or bachelor party

One link, everyone’s in

Invite link or QR code: friends join the group in the app.

Only the people who took part

For each expense, pick who’s in: equal split, percentages or custom amounts.

Bar tab read by AI

Snap the receipt: the AI reads items and prices, you fix anything off, and each person takes what they ordered.

No awkward chasing

Balances stay up to date for the whole group, and you can send a payment reminder from the app.

Bachelorette and bachelor party costs: FAQ

Do bridesmaids split the cost of the bride’s share?

That’s the usual approach, and the group decides. In Partly, simply leave the bride out of the group (or out of each expense): her share is spread across the people selected.

What if someone only comes for one day?

For each expense, keep only the people who were there. For the rental, use custom amounts if some people stay fewer nights.

Does everyone need to install the app?

To join the group and add their own expenses, yes (iPhone or Android). For someone who won’t join, you can add their first name to a single expense: they stay on that expense only.

Is Partly a money pot?

No. Partly doesn’t collect or hold money: it works out who owes whom. Paybacks happen by bank transfer or your usual payment app, then get recorded in the group.

Is it free?

The free plan, with ads, includes 3 active groups, 5 AI scans and 5 payment links per month. Premium removes those limits; the price is shown in the app before any purchase.
