Create the group before you leave
An “Event” group for the festival or weekend. Send the invite link or show the QR code: people join in the app.

Add the big items right away
Van rental, fuel, tolls: each driver or payer adds them as soon as they pay, with only the people involved.

Scan the grocery receipts
Take a photo of the receipt: the AI reads the items, you check them, and anything personal goes to one person.

Wrap up the event when you’re back
Partly shows who owes how much to whom. Everyone pays back by transfer, PayPal, Venmo or Revolut, then records it in the group.

Should festival tickets go in the group?
Only if one person bought them for the others. In that case, add them as an expense shared between the people who got a ticket.
How do we split fuel with two cars?
Add one fuel expense per car, shared only between its passengers.
What if there’s no signal at the site?
Note the amount and keep the receipt, then add the expense once you have signal. Saving offline and syncing later is a Premium feature.
Can Partly work as a group kitty?
No. Partly doesn’t collect money: everyone pays as they go, the app works out the paybacks, and you settle by transfer or payment app.
Is it free?
The free plan, with ads, includes 3 active groups, 5 AI scans and 5 payment links per month. A closed group no longer counts towards the 3 active groups.
